These ventures have turned Guilherme Paulus into a billionaire and is currently listed on Forbes as so. His knack for investing was one of the main reasons he was invited as a guest speaker during the recently concluded top seller event. It was here that Guilherme Paulus recounted what he had to go through before he got to where he is today. He was born in a relatively low-income family who were unable to pay for his medical school fee, and that’s how he ended up at IBM as an intern. This would then be followed by a job at travel agency Casa Faro where he learned the ins and outs of the tourism industry, something that he remains eternally grateful for. This organization opened his eyes to all manner of opportunities within this industry and by the time he left Guilherme Paulus was sure he would invest in it.

It did not take long for him and another partner to establish CVC Brasil Operadora e Agencia de Viagens S.A at a time when not much was known about tour operators. Th entrepreneur grew the company after his partner left to go pursue other interest at a time when the industry was not performing well. His determination would pay off as he was able to take the company off the ground and by the early 2000’s they became the first company to begin chartering flights for clients as well as bringing cruise ships to Brazil. This is the level of growth and transformation that has seen CVC become the largest operator in Latin America.
